The second in the series of school holiday cooking courses will give young students the opportunity to build on skills acquired in the first course. For children aged eight to twelve years. Includes ingredients. Exact menu to be confirmed closer to the time.
For dates for the part one course, click here. Once again the focus will be on cooking healthy meals that appeal to the young palate and are associated with eating out and treats. The first dish will be enjoyed as a morning tea. The students will then prepare, serve and enjoy the main dish and accompaniments for lunch.
On the first day, they will make breakfast fritters, hamburger patties, oven-baked potato wedges and a mixed leaf salad.
On the second day, students will make granola bars, pan fried fish, fresh tomato sauce, potato rosti (hashbrowns) and a classic green salad with optional variations.
Places are limited to 12 children per course.
