You'll know how to memorise much more easily. You will learn ways to commit anything to memory including names, faces, numbers, languages, speeches, presentations, scripture, facts, data, songs, product information and course work. Tried and tested by presenters all over the world, the methods are varied to suit different learning styles, and includes the historic "memory palace". You will discover that memorising can be an easy, creative and enjoyable process.
Session 1: Introduction, approaches to memory tasks, understanding how memory works and why this affects how you memorise, practical exercises to demonstrate a range of strategies for everyday situations.
Session 2: What works best for me? How actors and presenters approach scripts: breaking up the task, step-by-step guide to strategies that work, tips for success, practice in using the systems.
Session 3: How to make text, names, faces, numbers, speeches et al memorable. Varied strategies, including 'memory palace', from which participants can choose to apply to the practical tasks they face and want to improve in.
Session 4: Putting it all into practice. Creating individual plans from favourite methods from the coursework. Using technology when memorising, for those who have access. How? What apps can help?
