The Challah bread is the traditional Jewish bread eaten on the Friday night and Sabbath.
It is a symbol of the manna that fell from the heavens to feed the Israelites when they were in the desert for 40 years after their Exodus from Egypt. You will learn about the different shapes of challah that symbolise different occasions according to the Jewish holidays.
