Learn to take creative photos of flowers just like on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Bring your own flowers for easy and practical indoor and outdoor photos.
This course will show you how to create a pleasing composition, manage lighting and share ideas for creative set-up. The use of macro lenses and other accessories will be demonstrated. Our Saturday class will be held at the Auckland Wintergardens with its huge range of flowers and plants to shoot. Ian will also share some ideas for fun and fancy photo editing for mood photos, cropping, colours and textures. Class notes will be supplied.
A Facebook group will also be created for those who wish to share photos and ideas.
Expected learning outcomes.
Who should attend this course? Anyone who has an interest and passion for photography, nature and flowers but lacks the camera skills, ideas and inspiration to take photos they could be proud of.
What to bring: bring some flowers/plant for the first session. Bring your own digital camera. Cameras should have adjustable functions such as aperture mode (A or AV). Standard kit lenses are fine. If you have a macro lens, bring this. You should already know how to basically use your camera ie turning it on, zooming. We have a DSLR Beginners Photography class available if you are unable to use your camera yet.
For digital cameras with some adjustable functions eg aperture value
For those who have a basic understanding of how to use their camera.
