ABOUT THE COURSE WRITING SKILLS FOR IELTS
IELTS is all about strategies. 1. Think, 2. Plan, 3. Write. Learn how to maximise your essay writing skills using Thesis Statements, Topic Sentences, supporting statements, paragraphs. Learn how to extract information from graphs, tables, diagrams. Learn how to summarise and compare.
Learn how to plan your essay by using brainstorming, clustering, free writing.
This course suits Upper Intermediate/Advanced students who are preparing for the IELTS test.
COURSE DATES 2021
Tuesday evenings 6 - 7pm for eight weeks starting:

- 19 October
This course is scheduled to allow students to attend courses from 7 - 9pm in addition to this specialist writing class.
COURSE FEES
NZ citizens and permanent migrants: $10. This course fee is subsidised by the Tertiary Education Commission and conditions apply.
Temporary migrants]: $80. If you are awarded a resident visa while you are studying with us, please let us know. You may qualify for a fee rebate on your current course.
Refugees may qualify for a free course but will need to buy course books. Please contact the office for more information.

TERTIARY EDUCATION COMMISSION FEE SUBSIDY
This applies to New Zealand citizens, permanent migrants and refugees
The Tertiary Education Commission offers a fee subsidy for this course to qualifying students.
NZ citizens and permanent migrants and refugees who are offered a place on this course will be offered the fee subsidy PROVIDING you can agree to the following conditions:
- you promise to attend the full term (eight weeks)
- you promise to attend at least 80% of classes
- you prove your right to reside permanently in New Zealand through presentation of your passport or refugee papers before starting your course. You must have a Resident Visa or a Permanent Resident Visa.
If you are unable to agree to all these conditions, please contact the office to discuss your situation.
IMMIGRATION STATUS
