With the freedom to do as much or as little as you like, and no pressure to “get it right”, Nia is an enjoyable alternative to the gym and conventional fitness programmes. Set to a diverse range of music, Nia is all about finding joy in movement.

Helen is a therapeutic movement practitioner with a background in dance. Through her own journey of healing she has developed a passion for movement, self-expression and holistic health. Knowing that the body thrives on variety and joy, Helen was drawn to and has embraced Nia. Helen has recently become a licensed Nia facilitator and is excited to share this beautiful, healing movement form with you.
Nia is taught as a barefoot class in our dance studio which has a sprung floor, giving a softer feel and absorbing the impact. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. As we are making efforts to preserve the expensive surfaces in our lovely new dance studio from scuffing and stone damage, we respectfully ask that you remove 'street' shoes before taking to the floor.
