    Description

Continue your learning journey of Te Reo and Te Ao Māori.

    Your commitment

Learning a new language can be difficult and requires effort. Please enrol in this course only when you have the time resources to attend at least seven of the eight classes and to complete homework and practice. If you've already registered and you can no longer meet these obligations, please contact the office at least five days before the course starts and we'll do our best to transfer your registration to a future date.

    Our Te Reo pathway

    1. Te Reo Māori Introduction (Level 1)  - for total or relative beginners
    2. Te Reo Māori Beginners (Level 2) - for those who have successfully completed our introductory course
    3. Te Reo Continuation - for those who have successfully completed our first two courses

    Eligibility

All are welcome to enrol. The course fee subsidy is available to NZ citizen or permanent resident adults, and young people aged 16+ who are not currently enrolled in a NZ secondary school. We need to collect information about age, gender, ethnicity and education for statistical purposes. A condition of accepting this subsidised course fee is attending at least 80% of classes.

    Prerequisites

Have successfully attended Level 1 and Level 2 courses here at Selwyn Community Education. If you are new to Te Reo at Selwyn Community Education, or your attendance at previous courses was incomplete, please contact the office to discuss your situation.
