Description
From tutor Nicola: I am a weaver of many materials, such as cane, willow, seagrass and bark. I like to share my skills and encourage others to make and weave useful household items.
Learning outcomes from this workshop:
- learn about the growing and manufacture of cane
- learn how to weave using a pairing stroke
- learn how to make a cane ring, to hand up the basket
- learn the skills of whipping.
- once you know these skills you can apply them to larger projects

Adults wanting to learn some cane weaving skills. You will need nimble hands.

Your lunch. A pair of household scissors and a water sprayer.
