Learn to create well-designed print publications using this industry standard page layout programme. Participants should have a working knowledge of Windows and how to use the mouse.
Topics include: document set up, the workspace, working with colour, shapes and pictures, setting text including text wrapping and paragraph styles, plus Indesign extras including the effects pallet, pathfinder, gradients and gradient feather.
Please bring a USB stick.
This ten-hour course is held in our school computer suite using PCs operating Windows 8.
You will need to practise between classes so will need to have access to Indesign software.
As each lesson builds upon knowledge and skills gained in the previous session, the tutor advises it is too difficult to catch up if you miss more than one class, so please only enrol at a time when you are confident you can attend all five classes. Class size limited to 10 students.
From May 2016:
"Being able to teach someone with dyslexia is quite a feat. The whole learning process was intuitive, being able to discover where the answers were myself was enlightening. This is the first time in 16 years I've felt confident about learning. Subsequently, having boosted my confidence will allow me to follow my dreams and start to build on this base of knowledge."
