Stay fit and have some fun with this class. Classes comprise mat work, simple dance steps to great music and barre work. This is a barefoot class as it is held on a sprung floor giving a 'softer' feel and absorbing the impact. Please bring a yoga mat with you. Terms 1, 3 and 4 are 9 week courses with Term 2 being an 8 week course.
These one hour classes are a challenging way to stay fit and have fun. Whilst fast paced, you will still have a balance of strength, conditioning, stretch, cardio and fun which takes into account personal abilities and honours any injuries. Working within YOUR personal challenge zone is what it's all about! The classes blend dance steps to music, mat work and barre work. Sometimes props such as balls or bands are used.
Bring water and a yoga mat if you have one. Wear comfortable exercise clothing. During winter months layers and jumpers also recommended. If you have injuries/concerns, please attend a few minutes early to inform your tutor so they can advise on safe participation. This is a barefoot class.
We are making efforts to preserve the expensive floor surfaces in our lovely new dance studio from scuff marks and stone damage, so ask respectfully that you remove street shoes before you take to the floor. The dance studio has a sprung surface, giving a softer feel and absorbing some impact.
