This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizen and permanent migrant adults, and young people aged 16+ who are not currently enrolled in a NZ secondary school. We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes. You must also provide evidence of NZ citizenship or residency if requested. A condition of accepting this course fee subsidy is that you will attend the whole day.
During the workshop, David will explain the basic consoles and how to connect them to your website, as well as basic navigation and reporting. The class will use a live practice website as an illustrative class example. During the course, you will create a Google account and connect the main tools and consoles up to the practice website. You'll navigate around each of these tools and consoles and talk about basic reporting you can set up in each.
This course will be held in a PC suite at Selwyn College. You need only bring your lunch and a pen.
Small business owners or marketing staff who wish to gain an understanding of how to connect their website to Google.
Prerequisite knowlege: Ideally, course attendees should already have some basic knowledge about websites (basics of website won't be covered in this workshop). Certainly having your own website would be beneficial so you can get the most out of this class. Tutor David recommends that you have attended SEO for Small Business. Students should have strong computer skills to learn the practical components of this course.
This course is a recommended prerequisite for Google Analytics Fundamentals and Google Ads Fundamentals courses.
