Learn how to write short stories for the young adult or children's fiction genres.
Are you struggling with writing fiction for children? Understanding how to write a great short story is a stepping stone to writing great fiction of any length. This course will teach you how to create compelling voices, organise your ideas and experiences, and shape them both into engaging stories for young people.
I have been writing fiction for children, including short stories, for more than twenty years. My short stories have appeared in educational publications and anthologies, and my 2019 short story collection Time Machine and Other Stories was a finalist for the 2020 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Adults.
Adults interested in writing short stories for children and young adults. This course is not suitable for children to attend.
