Join Claudia and she'll introduce you to a range of delicious home-style Italian recipes from her grandmother - all authentically Italian and infused with passione and amore!
Claudia is originally from Bellumo, one hour from Venice. She spent a lot of her youth in the kitchen with her grandmother, learning to cook authentic Italian food. Claudia believes in using simple, fresh and quality ingredients and infusing her dishes with passione and amore.
Claudia will teach you three main dishes, a traditional dessert, a simple dessert and some side dishes including pesto. Claudia will demonstrate the traditional way of preparing these Italian dishes, based on her grandma's recipes and methods, with sauces made from scratch, to produce fresh and flavourful meals.
Week 1: Traditional Pasta Bolognese. You'll learn to make this dish from scratch, creating your ragu like the traditional sauce made in Bologna, the way Claudia learnt from her grandmother. Using penne pasta, the dish can be called Penne Al Ragu.
Week 2: Lasagne, the Italian way.
Week 3: Risotto Al Funghi - mushroom risotto which is a great dish for vegetarian eaters. Claudia will also teach Risotto Funghi E Salsiccia which is version containing sausage for meat-eaters.
Week 4: Salame Al Cioccolato. This chocolate salami is a rich, traditional Italian dessert great for a special occasion.
Week 5: Bruschetta Al Pomodoro (the typical Italian bruschetta), a side salad traditional in the north of Italy, a strawberry and cream refreshing dessert, and a demonstration of making pesto the traditional way.
Your course fee includes all ingredients. Each night you'll cook your recipes, learning Claudia's home cooking secrets, and you'll enjoy your dishes at the end of the class.
Each week bring a tea towel and a container in case there are leftovers.
