Description
Bring your own guitar and come along and learn chords, patterns and arrangements and basic music theory and how to apply it to the guitar, enabling you to play along to your favourite music.
At the end of this course, you will:
- Be familiar with the guitar, its parts, types of guitars and accessories
- Have proper posture and hand positioning for playing
- Understand how to string and tune your guitar
- Learn and memorise the standard tuning string notes
- Be able to play basic major chords (C, G, A, D, E, F)
- Understand strumming patterns and rhythm exercises
- Be able to play (Am, Dm, Em) minor chords
- Be able to apply these techniques, chords and rhythms to some basic popular songs to play along with
