This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizen and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes. You must also provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status if requested. A condition of accepting a course fee subsidy is that you commit to at least 80% attendance of your course.
This is an overview course focusing on the elements that make up digital marketing and what you need to know to start a small online business. We cover a range of different disciplines including business elements such as trademarks, domain names and we talk about the basic ways to set up a website.
On completion of this course, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the following:
The course is designed to appeal to people who are contemplating starting an online business from home who need to get an overview of what is involved, and what skills/knowledge are necessary before undertaking such an enterprise. Those with understanding of browsers, Microsoft applications, navigation menus and toolbars will gain more from the course.
