Come to a place within that is a calm, centred presence and discover stillness, simplicity and contentment. Based on yogic practices these classes will include breath awareness with a series of simple and very gentle movements to encourage mindfulness, support healing, relaxation and breath-body-mind connection.
A calm and centred presence is something many of us long for. The beauty is that it is available to us all right here, right now. These classes will support sharpened mental focus, relaxation and stress reduction, as well as an understanding of the breath-body-mind connection. Discover the benefits of inner peace and coolness of mind that can come from regular and simple practices.
When you practice mindfulness, your body relaxes: your blood pressure drops and your breathing rate slows and deepens. With regular practice, mindfulness rewires the brain as new neural pathways are formed, making it easier and quicker to come to this state of relaxation. Practitioners find they respond better to challenging situations, making more helpful decisions rather than reacting with anger or fear.
Those wanting to develop improved mental focus, less anxiety and greater relaxation. This course is suitable for both beginners and those still learning. We offer a practical and safe, welcoming environment to learn in.
Bring a yoga mat / towel / blanket to lie on, a cushion, a light rug or warm layer for the relaxation segment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement.
