Sonia Wilson

    Home Sonia Wilson

Sonia WilsonSonia Wilson is a now Auckland-based Franco-American singer, songwriter and musician. Raised in Paris, France, by two American parents and a member of both gospel and world music acapella choirs from a young age, Sonia infuses into her music a wide variety of languages, colours and cultures: from the streets of Paris across Kenyan savannah, through remote villages in the Himalayas and all the way to New Zealand, music has afforded Sonia the opportunity to travel around the world. She currently plays with Gitbox Rebellion 10-guitar group, is a lead/harmony singer and instrumentalist with various bands, an original member of the Seattle-based Tiny Orchestral Moments international music ensemble and a teacher of both private and group ukulele, guitar and singing lessons. By attending Sonia's ukulele classes at Selwyn Community College, you will be given the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to become a confident and competent ukulele player in a safe and fun group environment.
