Kia ora! My name is Dharyin. I was born and raised in Rotorua to a big Māori family. My siblings, cousins and I grew up bathing in the river, riding horses down the beach and gathering food straight from the ocean.
We moved to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for school and I’ve since had incredible opportunities to work in the education space, building and serving communities, shaping public policy, while living an authentic Māori life. Te Reo Māori has so many amazing things to teach us about life and living beyond simply communicating and I absolutely love sharing these with everyone I can. Ma te wā!
