Young ones and gym bunnies need not apply! This class is designed to match the fitness levels of active older adults and those new to cardio exercise. If you are 40+ and want to improve your strength, cardiovascular health, balance, coordination and flexibility then this is the course for you. NOTE: This course is held in the new dance studio at Selwyn College which has a wooden sprung floor. Unfortunately, street shoes can not be worn. Please wear soft leather (dance type) shoes, socks, or bare feet.
Dancercise is the perfect way to get fit without having to suffer! Each class will combine all the best aspects of dance, aerobics, and pilates, giving you a proper workout, but making it fun with great music and dance combinations. You will be given a full body warm up, learn basic, easy to follow dance steps and technique, and a short routine – with hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and sometimes more contemporary music. Dance is a sport for both your body and your soul, and you are sure to leave class feeling full of energy. If you love music, moving, and feeling good, then come along and enjoy Dancercise.
