Description
Landscape Photography is aimed at transforming your snaps into beautiful landscape portraits. This course will be a practical day in the field, incorporating compositional elements, camera setting, equipment, techniques for depth of field, capturing motion and location/perspective.
This course is for photography students who already have basic familiarity with their camera. Bring your camera, tripod, filters and a wide-angled lens if you have one.
Expected learning outcomes
- Understanding of camera settings for effective landscape pics
- Knowing where to place the horizon/composing the photo
- Understanding of how to capture movement
- Ability to incorporate the foreground effectively in the photo
- Ability to manage and use weather to advantage
About Chris Zwaagdyk
Chris Zwaagdyk returned to photography around 7 years ago. A new beginning with digital photography and rediscovery of the pleasure of capturing moments and conveying ideas - both the subjects and photographers. Chris also has a passion for shooting live music, shooting for a number of New Zealand music web sites including 13th Floor, Libel and muzic.net. Chris takes an experiential approach to sharing photography skills. Having largely learnt through working with other photographers and short courses, Chris has found an interactive approach provides immediate feedback and helps to develop photography skills more quickly.
