Course dates 2025
Each course offers 16 classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM for a total of 32 hours tuition. Courses start:
- Term 1 - 18 February
- Term 2 - 29 April
- Term 3 - 29 July
- Term 4 - 14 October
About the course
Improve your speaking and listening skills for life and work in New Zealand. Suitable for students with intermediate level English.
Maximum class size 15 students.
Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) fee subsidy
This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the TEC for:
- NZ citizens;
- Those holding residency-class visas;
- Individuals granted refugee status;
- In some cases spouses of NZ citizens and permanent residents may also qualify - please contact the office to enquire.
Conditions:
- Registrants must be aged 16 years or older.
- Registrants must not be currently enrolled at a secondary school.
- You should attend at least 80% of your classes to qualify for a fee subsidy.
- We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes.
- You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status.

Course fees
Qualifying learners: FREE (subsidised by the TEC). A minimum of 80% attendance is required.
All others: $290. If you are awarded a residency visa while you are studying with us, please let us know. You may qualify for a fee rebate on your current course.
