    This workshop is an introduction for beginners who wish to use Facebook for marketing. You'll learn how to create a profile, write content, as well as gain an overview of video posts, live-streaming, Facebook stories and the Marketplace. Course fee $40 or $80.

    Description

    Course fee subsidy

    This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for:  

    • NZ citizens;
    • Those who hold a residency-class visa;
    • Individuals granted refugee status;
    • In some cases spouses of NZ citizens and permanent migrants may also qualify - please contact the office to enquire.

    Conditions:

    • Registrants must be aged 16 years or older.
    • Registrants must not be currently enrolled at a secondary school.
    • You should attend at least 80% of your classes to qualify for a fee subsidy.
    • We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes.
    • You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status.

    If you are unable to meet these conditions, please contact the office to discuss your situation. The subsidised course fee is $40.

    About the course

    This workshop provides an introduction to Facebook, who it's aimed at and their main audiences. You'll learn to create a Facebook profile; the best way to write content for posts; and how to use hashtags and location tags. You'll also find out about video posts, livestreaming, Facebook stories, and how to use the Marketplace. This is a practical course which will provide up-to-date training in social media.

    Who should attend How to Use Facebook for Marketing

    Those starting up or running small businesses. Sole traders looking to improve their results.

    What to bring

    Your lunch, your laptop (with charger) and logons for any social media you already use.  If you do not have a laptop please advise the office and we will arrange a logon for one of our PC workstations for the workshop.
