Description
Zentangle® is mindful drawing – creating a miniature abstract work of art with a collection of patterns. All your materials are provided and you will spend a relaxing half-day drawing structured patterns in a mindful way. Zentangle method offers a creative outlet for all people. Easy-to-learn and appropriate for anyone: If you can write the word “iCSO, then you can tangle! This class is for all people of all ages, whether you are a novice or an experienced artist. Please join us, even if you feel you are NOT an artist, and are challenged with the creative process. Students of Zentangle enjoy increased focus and creativity, as well as artistic satisfaction and well-being, as a result of drawing structured patterns in a mindful way. Anything Is possible one stroke a time.
Expected learning outcomes
- Know the eight basic steps for Zentangle® Method
- Understand that “Anything is possible one stroke at a time” ®
- Understand there are no mistake, only missed opportunities
- Be amazed with what you have created, and know you can do it over and over again!
What to bring
Just yourself and your lunch. All materials ($20) are included within your course fee. We'll provide tea and coffee in the staffroom.

About your tutor
As a lifelong crafter and artsy person… with a day job, family, and never enough time to cram it all in… Zentangle® Method … helps me do so. Mindful drawing has so many more benefits than the pictures you create. I am more patient, fun, and creative than before I started tangling. Sharing something so simple, but which offers each and every one of us such incredible results, is why I sought certification – so I can show others what has made such a difference in my life. You will be amazed what some simple steps can achieve, and in so many ways!

Anne is a lovely and warm tutor who connects well to her students. It was a short course and she used time well to take us quickly through seven patterns of zentangle.
