    Description

    Course outline

You’ll learn how to hold and handle a knife correctly, how to select the right knife for the task, and how to maintain a sharp edge. Step by step, you’ll practise core cuts—slicing, dicing, julienning, segmenting, and more—using a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. Along the way, you’ll pick up time-saving tips, safety best practices, and strategies for minimising waste.

By the end of the session, you’ll feel more at ease in the kitchen, with the skills to prepare ingredients quickly, safely, and with professional-level precision. Perfect for anyone keen to cook with greater confidence.

    What to bring

Bring a few of your own knives and steels so you can learn with them.  The tutor will also have some knives at the course for students to practise with.
