    Description

    In this class, you'll explore the balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy that defines Thai cuisine. From fresh herbs like lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves to aromatic spices like galangal and chili, you’ll get to work with authentic ingredients and learn the secrets of Thai cooking that have been passed down through generations. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced home cook, our instructor will provide personalised guidance, helping you master everything from preparing the perfect Pad Thai to crafting flavourful curries and delicious stir-fries. You'll also discover the importance of presentation and how to bring the Thai aesthetic to your own kitchen.

    By the end of the class, you’ll have the confidence to recreate your favorite Thai dishes at home and impress your friends and family with the bold and aromatic flavours of Thailand. Enjoy a warm and friendly environment, with the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper appreciation for the art of Thai cooking.

    This course will use eggs, seafood, gluten-containing ingredients, meat (chicken, pork, beef).

    What to bring

    A tea-towel and a container for any leftovers each night. You may prefer to bring your own apron and knife, otherwise you may use the school equipment. All ingredients are provided for this course (an ingredients charge of $45 is included within your course fee).

    About your tutor

    I am from Thailand and have been living in NZ for nearly 30 years. I take great pleasure in cooking Thai food for my family, even though none of them are Thai. They love my country's food. I would love to share my passion and helps others learn how to prepare authentic Thai dishes, as they are not only delicious but also healthy.
