    Description

The process of candle making is a mindfulness practice which can be very calming and therapeutic. It helps reduce stress, stimulates your mind and provides a sense of accomplishment. Focusing on the task takes your mind off daily worries and provides a sense of peace. We can use essential oils in our tea lights that promote calmness.

Each attendee will make two tea light candles during this two-hour taster class. All materials will be provided. Please bring a drink bottle and apron if needed.

    From your tutor Donne

I started candle making while grieving my grandma who passed away overseas during the pandemic and we were unable to be with her. She loved candles and we started our candle making journey to continue her memory. During our class we will use a range of fragrance oils which provide relief of stress and create a calming atmosphere eg. Eucalyptus, Lavender, Chamomile and lots of others. Did you now? While creating candles you engage four of your five senses - sight, sound, smell and touch... we're unable to taste!
