Description
Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) course fee subsidy
This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the TEC for:
- NZ citizens;
- Those who hold a residency-class visa;
- Individuals granted refugee status;
- In some cases spouses of NZ citizens and permanent migrants may also qualify - please contact the office to enquire.
Conditions:
- Registrants must be aged 16 years or older.
- Registrants must not be currently enrolled at a secondary school.
- You should attend at least 80% of your classes to qualify for a fee subsidy.
- We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes.
- You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status.
If you are unable to meet these conditions, please contact the office to discuss your situation.

This hands-on course helps you get the most out of ChatGPT for writing, planning, organising, learning, and everyday problem‑solving.
You’ll learn how to use ChatGPT for emails, summaries, data analysis, brainstorming ideas, study help, reports, and more. We’ll cover both free and paid features so you can use ChatGPT confidently, even if you’ve only tried it a few times before.
What to bring
You will need to sign up for ChatGPT before the course (free account). Visit www.chatgpt.com for more information. Bring your laptop to work through examples during the session.
Who should attend
This course is designed for individuals curious about using ChatGPT for personal tasks, small business needs, and professional development. Whether you are new to AI or looking to enhance your current skills, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical applications.
