    About the course

New Zealand needs immigrants’ skills and experience! However, the job market can be challenging, especially when English is not your first language. Plus, finding a job here may be different from in your native country.  This practical course will help you build the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to show employers what you can offer. Learn the language (e.g. vocabulary) you need to use. Put together a CV and cover letter. Find out where to look for a job and how local employers interview. Then practise with your classmates.

    Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course you will:

    1. Understand how the job market works in NZ and know where to look for work
    2. Have the language, grammar and tools you need to summarise in writing your skills (what you can do), experience (what you have done) and achievements (what you have achieved)
    3. Be able to write a CV and cover letter, use LinkedIn, look for a job, and answer interview questions

Have a personal plan to make progress in your job search.

Your tutor is an experienced ESOL teacher and career coach.

This course runs on Wednesday afternoons 12:15 PM - 2:15 PM starting:
