Guy Steward

Guy is an English teacher, musician, and author who has spent most of his life in Auckland. With a rich and varied career in education, he has taught ESL, Academic English, IELTS preparation, Design and Art History, and music, specialising in piano and guitar. He has worked extensively with international students, particularly those preparing for University Foundation programmes, teaching academic English at Elementary and Pre-Intermediate levels. His experience also includes delivering Cambridge Key English Test (KET), Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET), and General IELTS courses, as well as teaching the specialist language of Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, and Science to pre-university students.

Beyond the classroom, Guy’s creativity finds expression in both writing and music. He is a published author with his own website and a YouTube channel, and he enjoys composing his own tunes.

Guy has travelled throughout Asia, the United States, and India, experiences that have enriched both his teaching and creative work. When he’s not teaching, writing, or making music, he enjoys gardening, catching up with friends over coffee, and sketching pencil portraits. Married with one son, Guy brings warmth, creativity, and a global perspective to everything he does.
