    Testimonials

    Feedback from April 2022 course:

"In answer to your questions the course was great and the people from the Bowling Club were amazingly welcoming and helpful in getting us started.  I have now joined the club. I cant think of anything that might be improved.  Even the weather was perfect!!"

    1) What did you enjoy? "The weather, the tui’s signing in the trees, the music on the last day, the coaches (Rosemary reminded me so much of my mother), the other people learning (my wife in particular), the sense of relaxation, the challenge, the very friendly nature of the club members that we encountered over the 3 weekends, the home baking.

    2) What could be improved? "Not a lot. I did find that coming in early before the sessions allowed me to send consecutive bowls down which gave me to get a better feel."

"KBC was a great place to learn more about lawn bowls."

"The atmosphere was extremely friendly and welcoming, with morning tea provided for the post-bowls debrief. The quality of the bowling lessons was high, and the 'teachers' were clearly passionate about their sport. Lovely venue. The jazz music was a bonus."

"Nothing could be improved. It was lovely."

"I really enjoyed the Lawn Bowls course at Kohimarama.  The staff were friendly and supportive. The venue is a stunning oasis and even the weather was great. There was a  good mix of instruction, practice and opportunity to play some games. Unfortunately the times of play at the Kohi club are not conducive with my morning work timetable and I sing in a choir on Wednesday nights, so I will look at another club to join."

"I would thoroughly recommend the Kohimarama Bowling course to anyone who would like try bowls."
