I've been working as a portraitist for five years, as well as exhibiting my own work. After finishing my studies at animation college, I've spent the last two years tutoring adults and children in art.
Participants in this course should already have some basic painting skills.
I felt like I was able to make rapid progress from near-novice to producing art that I am fairly proud of. Also, the class had a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere that encouraged participation and experimentation. The course exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to the next one, whatever it happens to be. Andrew is friendly and helpful, and gave clear, useful, and concise advice - without trying to impose any particular style on the group. When ideas were difficult to express verbally, he was able to demonstrate them clearly. This was a really great weekend, and has encouraged me to get more involved in painting. I am very impressed.
