Dried flowers are experiencing a huge revival in the fields of interior design and weddings. Dried arrangements can last for up to three years (or sometimes longer!) so are a budget-friendly way to decorate your home.
In this course, you will learn how to use dried flowers to make a dried floral wreath as well as the basics of which flowers dry best and the methods of drying. We will explore concepts of floral design such as colour, shape and texture and basic floristry wiring techniques. All materials are provided and you'll take home your arrangement. No experience is necessary. Each of our floral design courses are stand-alone modules to explore a different aspect of floristry.
This course is suitable for those with an interest in flowers, or perhaps those considering training for a career in the floristry industry. This course will give a taster of floristry training.
Bring your lunch. We'll provide tea and coffee in the staffroom for breaks. All materials ($50) are provided within your course fee. A bucket or basket or other receptacle may be helpful for transporting your creation home. You may wish to wear an apron to protect your clothing.
