Jaspreet (Peetu) Kaur has recently earned a Master of Architecture degree from Unitec Institute of Technology. She is passionate about Art, Architecture and History and cultivates a growing interest in this subject. Her thesis explores Architectural placemaking in Auckland city, in response to its growing multiculturalism. She studied the History of Aotearoa New Zealand and its migrants; the Theory of Phenomenology; the concept of Public space; collective memory and migration, in order to understand what ‘place’ really is and what it means to ‘make place.’ Kaur has been working with the School of Architecture at Unitec for the last two years where she enjoys teaching the History and theory of Architecture to first year students.
