    Description

    Course fee

This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizen and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. We need to collect extra information such as age, ethnicity, educational achievement and gender for statistical purposes. You must also provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency or refugee status if requested. A condition of accepting a course fee subsidy is that you commit to at least 80% attendance of your course.

    About the course

Now, more than ever we are faced with numerous challenges outside of our control - potential threats to our health, income, routine and lifestyle. This often evokes feelings of anxiety, anger, depression or fear and, as humans, we resort to well-worn coping mechanisms to help us through. Hours of Netflix, accessing social media,  over/under exercising, over/.under eating, isolating etc. While these strategies make us feel better in the moment they seldom lead to long-lasting peace, calm and security. This course offers some simple strategies to achieve this, and ultimately leave us feeling in control, at peace and ready to ride any storm, no matter what its name.

    Who should attend this course?

Anyone who is interested in gaining self-awareness while learning and experimenting with a range of effective coping strategies that help us manage life more effectively, bringing us more joy and peace in the process.
