    Description

    During this course we will prepare your teens to cook with confidence - independently and safely.  They will learn basic cooking methods including grilling, roasting, frying, steaming and boiling. Nichole will also teach some baking and pastry-making recipes and techniques. 

    The course fee includes all ingredients.

    Recipes will include a selection of the following

    • Lasagne
    • Spaghetti Bolognaise 
    • Classic Kiwi Pies
    • Tempura Fish 
    • Roast lunch or dinners 
    • Spare Ribs 
    • Grilled Steaks
    • English Breakfast including Eggs Benedict and omelettes
    • Pizza
    • Making stocks
    • Basic sauces
    • Stews
    • Grilling vegetables 
    • Cultural cooking, including Naan breads, Chapati and Butter Chicken
    • Introduction to spices, flavourings and rubs 
    • Salads 
    • Soups 
    • Vegetable meals 
    • Curries 
    • Basic cakes, Tarts, Cookies, Cup Cakes, Scones
    • Savouries 

    2025 Course Dates

    • 23 & 24 April
      • Apricot Chicken, rice with black sesame seeds and roasted veggies
        Chocolate brownies with walnuts
      • Keema (south Asian dish, curried mince meat) and Indian flatbread (non spicy options)
        Lemon ricotta slice
    • 3 & 4 July

    • 25 & 26 September
