This is a hands-on workshop where children will learn the tips and tricks for successful colour pencil and watercolour techniques with an established artist and experienced art teacher. See Sandra's website page here Sandra Morris to view examples of her work.
Sandra will teach the children colour pencil layering, correct undertonal work and using an embossing tool effectively with colour pencils. Advice will be given on good quality colour pencils, suitable papers, erasers and sharpeners, and how to look after your colour pencils properly.
Sandra will also demonstrate working with wet on wet watercolour, colour mixing, layering with translucent washes, using undertones, and using masking fluid and salt effects. Advice will be given on good quality watercolours, brushes, watercolour papers, and suitable erasers and masking fluid.
At the end of this course, children will have new ideas for working with watercolour pencils and paint to create beautiful and interesting effects.
Children at all skill levels, aged 8 + years.
Your lunch and waterbottle. Wear old clothes or bring a painting smock. All materials are provided.
