    Description

Each week, you’ll learn to create iconic Malaysian dishes packed with aromatic spices, vibrant herbs, and bold flavours that will transport you straight to the heart of Malaysia.

Over the course of four weeks, you'll explore:

    • Week 1: Mee Goreng Mamak
Master this popular street food dish, a savoury stir-fried noodle dish with a mix of shrimp, chicken, tofu, and vegetables, all tossed in a tangy, spicy sauce.

    • Week 2: Lamb Rendang
Learn how to make this rich, slow-cooked Malaysian curry, with tender lamb simmered in coconut milk and a fragrant blend of spices like turmeric, ginger, and lemongrass.

    • Week 3: Asam Laksa
Discover the bold and tangy flavours of this iconic sour fish soup, made with tamarind, mackerel, and fresh herbs, served with chewy rice noodles and topped with vibrant garnishes.

    • Week 4: Roti Canai
Learn how to make this crispy, flaky Indian-inspired flatbread, often served with dhal curry or sugar for a deliciously versatile accompaniment to any meal. End the course with a sweet treat: make Apam Alik, a fragrant steamed rice cake, often enjoyed as a snack or dessert, with a rich coconut flavour and a hint of pand.

Throughout the course, you’ll gain insight into the key ingredients, techniques, and spice blends that define Malaysian cuisine, while practicing your cooking skills with guidance from expert chefs. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to recreate these vibrant dishes at home and impress your family and friends with your newfound knowledge of Malaysia’s rich culinary traditions. Whether you're an experienced cook or a beginner, this course is perfect for anyone eager to discover the bold, delicious world of Malaysian food.
