    Description

    Learn how to incorporate turmeric into everyday meals and drinks while exploring its health benefits. Each session will focus on practical recipes, from turmeric-infused soups and teas to hearty curries and stir-fries. You'll also gain insights into how turmeric supports gut health and overall wellbeing.

    Whether you're looking to enhance your cooking skills or embrace a holistic lifestyle, this workshop offers hands-on learning and delicious takeaways for your kitchen.

    Menu

    Session 1: Turmeric in Everyday Cooking

    • Healing turmeric tea and golden milk
    • Nutritious lentil dish with golden rice

    Session 2: Stir-Fries with Turmeric

    • Quick turmeric-infused stir-fries
    • Cabbage, potatoes, and spinach stir-fry

    Session 3: Curry Night

    • Cooking a hearty turmeric-based curry
    • Exploring spices that enhance turmeric’s benefits

    Session 4: Rice Night

    • Golden turmeric rice with seasonal vegetables
    • Tips for balancing flavors in turmeric dishes

    Session 5: Snacks & Brunch with Turmeric

    • Stuffed potato naan with homemade chutney
    • Turmeric-infused snacks and spice blends

    Ingredients

    All ingredients are Vegetarian with vegan options.

    What to bring 

    Bring a pen and paper or mobile notes.  Your completed dishes will be eaten each night in class.   If there are any leftovers or you'd prefer to take your meal home, you're welcome to bring a container to put in in.  

    About your Tutor

    Anju is a passionate food educator and wellness enthusiast, bringing years of experience in holistic cooking and cultural food traditions. Rooted in Indian heritage, she believes in the healing power of natural ingredients like turmeric. Her approach blends traditional wisdom with modern cooking techniques, helping participants not only learn delicious recipes but also understand the health benefits of the ingredients.

    She teaches this course to inspire others to embrace mindful cooking and to show how simple, natural changes can enhance overall wellbeing.
