Come and learn to make Chineses Sweet andf Sour Pork and have fun along the way.
Sweet and sour pork is a popular Chinese and Chinese-American dish featuring battered, deep-fried pieces of pork tossed in a vibrant, glossy, and perfectly balanced sweet and tangy sauce. (We will however not be deep frying, but will make our dish entirely in a pan/wok with a fraction of the oil.)
This dish is often stir-fried with colorful vegetables and fruit, such as bell peppers, onions, and pineapple chunks.
A tea towel and a container in case there are leftovers.
Vinay is a self taught chef, combining a passion for food with a structured logic to his cooking. He has cooked in practically every country in Europe, picking up intricate skills and techniques along the way. He has also run his own cooking school and is passionate about teaching and inspiring people to get joy from their food. With his fun and enthusiastic approach, he is gaining quite a following at Selwyn Community Education.
