Narrative art has been part of human expression long before written language existed—from ancient cave paintings to everyday moments captured by contemporary artists. Stories in art can be clear and literal, or subtle and symbolic; what matters is how you choose to communicate.
During the workshop, you’ll develop a visual narrative of your choice. This might be a memory, a life event, a scene from a book or film, or an autobiographical self-portrait. You’re welcome to bring along photos, objects, or reference images that feel connected to the story you want to explore.
By the end of the day, you’ll have new tools, ideas, and a clearer sense of how to visually communicate your own narrative in a way that feels authentic and compelling.
Please bring art-friendly clothing and any items or printed images you think could be used to depict your chosen narrative. All materials and equipment are provided (materials charge is included within your course fee), however if you have your own paints and brushes, you are very welcome to bring them.
