    Description

    Your plot may be diminutive, but your design can still be great. Paul has vast experience in small landscapes and in particular, the use of planters (outdoors and indoors) to utilise the maximum amount of space in today's small gardens. Learn how to get the best from your small courtyard or garden, and make another room to use. Learn how to use planters to best effect, and how to prepare them professionally, and choose the best plants for both small spaces and planters.

    The course will cover: introduction to landscape design, design basic and pitfalls, laying out the space to get the most liveable area, selection and use of planters, plant section, and maintenance .

    About your tutor

    Paul, now retired, has been in horticulture and gardening all his working life. He has owned a landscape company specialising in small space gardens and planters, had an extensive involvement with indoor landscaping, design and maintenance, and for several years (while completing a Psychology Degree) was involved in organic gardening for vocational support/rehabilitation with mental health patients. Paul brings a wealth of experience to his tutoring at Selwyn.
