Sewing – Next Steps
This course is for those who have already completed Sewing for Beginners or have basic sewing skills. We'll start by making an A-line or pencil skirt, or simple pants.

Description
You will be developing your technical skills, and learning how to read and follow a pattern. You will complete your garment, and if there is time at the end of the course, you are welcome to start a new project of your choice.
Materials and equipment to bring for evening classes
In the first lesson, we will be looking at suitable patterns, discussing fabric options, learning to take measurements, and how to read the information on a pattern sleeve, so bring your ideas and a notebook. You will not need to bring your pattern, fabric etc until the second class.
- Tailors chalk or fabric marking pen
- Pins
- Fabric scissors
- Small scissors or snips
- Unpicker/stitch remover
- Your own bobbin to use in the Bernina (unless using your own machine)
Materials and equipment to bring for weekend classes
Garment - skirt pattern New Look 6843. You'll need to bring fabric, pattern, haberdashery and your sewing kit on Saturday morning. A list will be emailed to you.
