Description
Learn to dance with easy rhythm dance music. Build your individual dance sequences so that when you hear the music, you'll be able to get up and give it a go. You will be dancing in five minutes in this class. Introduction to salsa and bachata with a quick review of cha cha cha and merengue.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes for dancing - no high or sharp heels. Please enrol in dance couples (course fee of $140 per couple will automatically apply). If you are a single dancer, please contact the office before registration so that we can confirm whether we have another single dancer for you to partner - this might be a same-sex dance partnership if this proves necessary.
Covered in this six-week class:
- Salsa - basic, side break, back break, open break, lady inside left turn, cross body lead, right and left turns and more
- Bachata - side basic, half broken right turn, forward and back basic hammerlock, mans and ladies turn
- Merengue - basic
- Cha Cha Cha - side basic
- Salsa and Bachata - enjoy and develop dance sequences
- Last calss is a non stop dance party!
Who should attend?
Adult dance couples wanting to learn the basics of salsa and bachata dancing. Mobility required. Designed for beginners but refreshers welcome.
