    SCAT - Selwyn Community Arts Theatre has been in existence since 2005. June Renwick started the group when she retired as Head of Performing Arts at Selwyn College.  The group is supported by Selwyn Community Education. SCAT has presented a number of musicals over the years. These include Guys and Dolls, The Boyfriend, Singing in the Rain, Me and My Girl, Miss Saigon, Listen to the Wind, The Drowsy Chaperone, Oh What a Lovely War, Spamalot, West Side Story and Olive. In 2017 the group repeated The Drowsy Chaperone and Miss Saigon. 2018 Annie.

    Generally, SCAT performs one show per year usually in May.

    SCAT aims to provide opportunities for our local community, past students, and enthusiastic supporters of the arts. It also believes it is important to produce quality entertainment at a reasonable costs and encourages all ages to become involved both onstage and backstage.
