Wilhelm Snyman taught German language and literature at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, for 15 years, before moving to New Zealand and has a PhD in Comparative Literature, which focused on German 20th century authors.
He has also completed a course in DAF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) (German as a foreign language) hosted by the universities of Tübingen and Leipzig.
