Miriam Bissett
Miriam has studied and taught Classics at the University of Auckland and high schools and loves sharing her passion for Greek history, religion, philosophy, drama, and daily life. She holds a PhD in Ancient History with a focus on Athenian art, cult, and mythology. The similarities and differences between the ancient Greeks and ourselves are a key part of her lectures, as are the myths and stories that shape our views today. She says, "I love sharing stories and information about the ancient Greeks. The more we understand about other times and other cultures, the more we understand ourselves and one another."
