Originally from the UK, I’ve lived and worked in France, Italy, India, and Australia before making New Zealand my home.
With degrees in Horticulture (UK) and English (Auckland), I’ve spent my life immersed in horticulture, agriculture, and the environment — from practical projects in India and Australia to consulting and teaching here in NZ and the UK.
I’ve run my own horticulture consultancy business and taught at Carrington (now Unitec), as well as spending 28 years inspiring students in secondary schools through English, Science, and Horticulture.
Today, I’m lucky enough to share my passion for nature and learning as an educator at Auckland Council’s Experience Centres — Ambury Farm in Māngere Bridge and the Auckland Botanic Gardens in Manurewa — helping visitors discover the wonder of plants, animals, and the environment.
