Julia Oram

I am passionate about teaching art and design and helping students discover the joy of creating. By getting to know each student and understanding their interests, I create engaging learning experiences that build confidence, encourage creativity and inspire a lifelong love of art.   I love working with young people - I love the curiosity, enthusiasm and excitement they bring to the classroom. I have taught people of all ages, including pre-school,  primary and Intermediate, secondary and tertiary students. I have experience with pastoral care and have worked with gifted and talented students and second language students.

 

I have a MFA (Hons) from Elam School of Fine Arts and worked as a design and photography teacher in secondary schools in NZ as well as teaching art, design and art history at UP Education
