    Description

Learn how to create gorgeous pebble mosaics through the precast indirect reverse method. You will be given wooden moulds to create your work, placing your pebbles into a sand bed, then grouting and pouring a concrete aggregate on top. Once you understand this method, you will be able to reproduce your own pebbled slabs at home using your own designs. All materials ($55) are included in this course fee.

    What you'll make

Your own self-made beautiful pebble slab which could be used as an outdoor artwork or embedded into the lawn or garden as a statement piece.

    Expected learning outcomes

On completion of this course you will:

    • Know how to create and construct your own personal mosaic slab
    • Have learnt the reverse technique, or indirect method, of creating pebble mosaics

    Who should attend?

Those wanting to learn the reverse technique (this technique can be adapted for ceramic mosaic slabs). Those wanting to create a beautiful piece of garden art. Mosaicists looking to extend their skills.

    What to bring

Your lunch. Optional: apron to protect your clothes. Rubber gloves.

    Testimonials

Hi Anne, I LOVED my course with John! It was something I’ve always wanted to do and I shall continue to do. Hopefully I’ve remembered all the steps. Something I was meant to add to my comment form was it would’ve been really useful to have a written step by step guide of the materials and method (like following a recipe). Then I could have it for future reference.  {actioned! SCE}. Anyway here is my final tile unveiled this morning. Tell John, he was an excellent tutor and if he needs an assistant on his projects let me know! I love his passion, his story and of course his work. Marie 2018
