    Description

Learn a series of main dishes, and antipasti. Our tutor will demonstrate the traditional way of preparing these Italian dishes, with sauces made from scratch, to produce fresh and flavourful meals.

Your course includes an ingredients charge of $52 for ingredients supplied by the tutor.

    Menu

Week 1 : Eggplant Parmigiana - Italian baked eggplant parmesan is comfort food at its best. Layer breaded eggplant slices with mozzarella, parmesan, basil, and tomato sauce, then baked until bubbly.

Week 2 : Homemade Focaccia(a flat leavened oven-baked Italian bread similar in style and texture to pizza; in some places, it is called pizza bianca -  "white pizza"). Focaccia can be served as a side dish or as sandwich bread and it can be round, rectangular, or square shaped. You are going to learn how to make this easy recipe at home.

Week 3 : Osso buco with Risotto and Saffron - Osso buco is Italian comfort food at its best, but it is also elegant enough to serve at any gathering. A rich and creamy saffron risotto is the classic accompaniment. A beautiful way to spice up your dinner.

Week 4 : Seasonal Homemade Stuffed Ravioli with Two different Sauces (Fresh homemade stuffed ravioli with seasonal vegetables and meat option. The sauces will be designed according to available produce). You will learn how to make fresh homemade stuffed ravioli.

Week 5 : Tiramisu with  Zuppa Inglese - Zuppa Inglese is a great classic of Italian pastry, an evergreen dessert. This Italian trifle is a really famous ancient Italian dessert, made with layers of ladyfingers (or sponge cake) dipped in Alchermes liqueur, pastry cream and chocolate cream.  You will learn how to make these two desserts.

    Bring

Each week bring a tea towel and a container in case there are leftovers.

    Testimonials

From Italian Cooking from my Grandmother's Kitchen in March 2023 with Lorenzo:

The course was fantastic. Lorenzo was hugely knowledgeable and a great teacher. Jess and I really enjoyed it and I have been recommending it to all my friends. Nothing to improve - we are keen to learn more. Mar 2023

Was amazing. Learnt a lot and Lorenzo was very patient and observant of everyone in the space. Would definitely sign up for another class with him in the future. Mar 2023

Absolutely enjoyed the cooking class. Lorenzo is a great teacher. He has a fun, engaging teaching style, extremely knowledgeable. He was so patient and was always approachable. Mar 2023

We really enjoyed the five weeks of cooking with Lorenzo. We agreed it was very much an authentic Italian experience – Lorenzo demonstrates both the passion and love for ingredients and for cooking which we definitely took inspiration from. Lots of insights, tips and tricks, and improvements to add to what we thought we already knew! Mar 2023

I am so enjoying this course. Lorenzo is fabulous and does not need to change anything. May 2022
